Located among the beautiful park setting of Roger William’s Park in Cranston, Rhode Island, this is one of the hidden gems of event venues. Often, much cheaper than most venues of its quality and size, the Casino provides many unique elements that make it a favorite among brides and event hosts. First, its proximity to TF Green Airport, and downtown Providence make it accessible to out of town guests. Secondly, the park setting provides unlimited backdrops for pictures, mingling, and quick walks. Set among a pond and a graceful gazebo, the Casino’s colonial revival architecture is a pristine example of the importance of preservation. Built in 1896 with the profits from boat rentals and other amusements in the park, the outside is adorned with verandas, columns, balusters, and porticoes. The interior boasts a fireplace; original, hand made wood paneling; maple floors, and elegant mirrored and emerald tiles. Upstairs, the ballroom’s 20 foot ceilings are adorned in rosy tones, a throwback to the 1890′s classical warmth in decor.
With the unique and well thought out floor plan, the Casino’s downstairs features a cocktail bar, and plenty of room to mingle. Upstairs, the ballroom seats 200 guests comfortably. The building is fully handicap accessible, and an additional bonus to this venue is that chairs and tables are supplied with the rental fee.
